2. Reasons for objection
Here we list a number of the more general issues to which, for each individual application, any appropriate local considerations may be added. We would suggest that you include as many of these high priority issues as well as the local ones as you feel are relevant.- (to be cut and pasted into your objection)

Please include this to the start of your objection ------>
I strongly object to this planning application for the following reasons.
These are general objections ------>

you can use or adapt as many of them as you think are relevant.

The turbine would be a large alien structure in the middle of open country which remains unspoiled.

It will have an adverse impact on the landscape and the surrounding views.

The turbine would be visible from a wide area including the nearby village which is too close to the site.

The site is located only a short distance from the nearest dwelling.

The turbine is close to and would be visible from the highway.

The turbine is close to a public footpath.

There has been little or no engagement or consultation with the community.

Everyone living within view of the proposed turbine should be properly consulted.

There is only a commercial intention here that will cost the community dearly through higher electricity bills.

Wind turbines will reduce the value of my property and I expect compensation from the Council I shall be claiming a Council tax reduction from the Valuation Officer.

Thousands of visitors come to the area every year. Items 3.20 and 3.21 in the policy context of the draft Supplementary Planning Guidance – Onshore Wind Energy (December 2012) recognises the vital role of the tourism industry in the Gwynedd economy and how the beautiful unspoilt countryside attracts tourists. There will be harmful effects on tourism in the area.

There is increasing proof that turbines are not truly effective in terms of generating energy. Approving applications one by one opens the doors to others without giving due consideration to the long term effects.

It would cause harm to wildlife.

It would negatively affect migratory birds.

A turbine of this size would be a large and alien structure in this sensitive location.

Permitting this development will confirm a precedent for more and more similar turbines.

This will have more than a local impact and therefore should have been subject to a a wider public consultation.

An Environmental Impact Assessment should have been requested with the proposal and presented for public consultation. This view is now shared widely by local Community and Town Councils.

These objections are specific to the area of Llŷn, roughly to the west of the A499 ------>

you can use or adapt as many of them as you think are relevant in addition to the general comments above.

Most of the Llŷn Peninsular has been designated an Area on Outstanding National Beauty. The AONB and it's setting and views are protected by the Countryside and Rights of Way Act 2000. This act places a statutory duty on every public body, every statutory undertaker and any person holding public office to conserve or enhance the natural beauty of an AONB. This development must be refused because it would have a significant harmful effect that would cause significant harm to the AONB, its views and setting and would therefore be contrary to the Countryside and Rights of Way Act 2000.

Gwynedd C26 Planning Policy clearly states that "Proposals for wind turbine developments on sites within the Llŷn AONB will be refused." therefore it is also clearly necessary for wind turbine developments on sites within close vicinity or within the setting and views of the AONB to also be refused, to safeguard the conservation and enhancement of the AONB, it's views and settings in accordance with the Countryside and Rights of Way Act 2000 and Gwynedd Policy.

A turbine of this size would be a large and alien structure in the sensitive landscape of the Llŷn Peninsula which is designated as either an Area of Outstandin Natural Beauty, Landscape Conservation or Landscape of Outstanding Historic Interest and more.

The turbine would be visible from the AONB which includes the peaks of Garn Boduan and Garn Fadryn and Rhiw where there are iron age forts which are historic sites of national importance.

The turbines that are visible from Mynytho prove that much smaller size turbines do cause a significant adverse impact on the surrounding landscape: the turbines at Castellmarch and Bodwi significantly disrupt views in the open countryside.

The turbine at Crugeran is clearly visible from Mynytho although it is located approximately 8km away and thus proves that any turbine higher than 11 meters meter turbine is totally inappropriate within this designated landscape, and will have a significant harmful effect on the designated Llŷn landscape.

All turbines higher than 11 meters dominate the landscape and views and they all look too mechanical and alien in comparison with the surrounding beauty.

The Llŷn Peninsula is unique to Wales and possibly Britain, as there are only seven miles from one coast to the other. The visual impact of wind turbines here is therefore much more significant than in other locations in the country and would have a substantial harmful impact on such a sensitive landscape.

Because the turbine is such a large structure in a highly sensitive landscape and will have a significant harmful impact on the sensitive landscape of Llŷn, the Council should have asked the applicant to complete an Environmental Assessment Impact that would have included a fairer and wider public consultation.

Because the structure is so large and will have such a significant harmful impact on the sensitive landscape of Llŷn the Council should advertise it more widely and send out notices to all properties that will suffer the significant harmful effect on the sensitive landscape of Llŷn so that everyone effected is given a fair chance and reasonable time to submit comments and objection.

Gwynedd Councils' decision to consider each application individually rather than preparing and adopting clear guidelines and appropriate policy guidelines is irresponsible and contrary to the purpose of conserving or enhancing the AONB and will lead to the destruction of the beauty and unique character of Pen Llŷn

Considering each application individually rather than preparing and adopting clear guidelines and appropriate policy guidelines is a way of avoiding the appropriate rules that should be adhered to when dealing with an applications for wind farms (eg a public consultation). Considering and permit one turbine at a time forums a defecto wind farm.

Permitting this application would be contrary to the following planning policies -
